University Lofts

Rise redeveloped this historic rehab/conversion of a former downtown garment district warehouse building into 26 mixed-income lofts and ground floor commercial space in St. Louis’ Washington Avenue “Loft District.”  The project used low-income housing tax credit equity, a Missouri Affordable Housing Assistance Program (“AHAP”) Tax Credit-eligible charitable contribution and historic preservation tax credit equity.  The building includes a first-floor gallery space and basement workspace for artists.  Following our lead, there is now a thriving residential market on Washington Avenue.
