Rick Bonasch, Beloved Colleague at Rise, Passes Peacefully at 63

With unbearable sadness, we announce that we’ve lost our friend and colleague, Rick Bonasch on October, 19, 2022. Rick was the brightest light in the world of community development and beyond. He was patient, genuinely interested, clever, and kind. Maybe most importantly, Rick was kind. He loved his work, St. Louis, and all the varied neighborhoods in St. Louis city, county, and metro-east. He was the first to forge consensus, apply logic, and work toward the best result. Because of that dedication and compassion, Rick will always be remembered, appreciated, and loved. His imprint is permanent, and his spirit will forever shape our work. Rick was the literal and figurative rhythm guitar player for Rise. He was the glue that made everything hum. We will always miss him, but his inspiration will always live within us.
